completely required, Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Intelligent Character Recognition
(ICR) and
Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) are valuable complements to any document imaging/management
system. This technology can significantly reduce the amount of keystrokes an
operator may need to perform during the indexing process. While not always 100%
accurate, it allows a tremendous amount of gain to be made in the indexing process.
If you have a significant number of like form types being captured, you might want
to consider using this technology. Typical types of OCR, ICR and OMR applications include
questionnaires, order forms, and surveys.
